Watch Band Spring Bar RemoverReviewsThis didn't work. It immediately broke. I ended up using a very small screw driver and that did the job. Just the tool you need to change watch bands. Amazing how easy things are when you have the right tool. This tool was so easy to use, my husband was able to wear his new watch minutes after opening his gift instead of waiting for a jeweler to size it and then paying for the service. Very handy! Excellent little tool for removing those pesky spring bars. If you've ever tried to install and replace a watch band using a pocketknife, you know how annoying and difficult a project that should be simple can be. This tool works well and makes that simple project simple - both taking the old band off and installing the new one. No home should be without one. This product worked just fine, allowing me to quickly and easily change the straps on two watches, saving me a trip to the watch shop and the money the watch smith surely would have charged me to do the swap himself. Color me satisfied. Average Rating:![]() |

Sponge Mop, PVA, Handle Wringer, Roller Mop, Telescope Handle, Plastic, Black RUBG780ReviewsI've gone through a dozen mops in my adult life, and I usually end up buying the cheapest. This time, however, I decided that I was tired of mops lasting less than a year (the last one lasted about 3 weeks), and I was really going to do my research and pick the mop with the highest reviews. When I got the mop, I immediately wanted to get to work. The material grips the floor as it rubs away dried on spills. It wrings out so well, that the floor is dry just minutes after you're done. No more wet, sloppy floors, and puddles. And, I was able to mop the entire kitchen in less than five minutes. It was a dream. The only complaint I have is about the telescopic handle. I'm not sure why this feature exists. When you put the handle at the length that's optimal for cleaning, it nests back into itself. The handle collapsed several times while I was using it. I might not have used it correctly, but it shouldn't be that difficult of a thing to figure out. I've tried just about everything to maintain my hardwood floors. I've got two dogs that like to slobber as well as my wife and I inevitably track in water from the outside. I've tried swiffer mops and a hoover steam cleaner but none worked to my satisfaction. Though it takes a bit more work just fill up a couple gallon mop container with hot water and Murphy's Oil Soap and get to work. This mop is easy to use and simplistic. I should have started with this from the beginning. Because it's constructed well it allows you to put pressure on the hard to clean area which is not something I can say for the Swiffer family. After one use, the spong on the mop is hard as cardboard. It's not the super mop that's being advertised in other places so be careful. It is functional though. I bought the same mop years ago at a home show and have been struggling to find replacement parts ever since. I am delighted that a major company has picked it up because once you use this mop nothing else will do. It picks up dog hair or anything else that is on the floor and leaves little water behind so the floor dries quickly. We have been tremendously happy with this mop and would highly recommend it. Rubbermaid, you've made the best mop EVER! I've been mopping floor for over 50 years and I've never seen one even come close to this one! It never leaves any water behind and it cleans up EVERYTHING on the floor. Don't every discontinue this mop, Rubbermaid, or if you do, let me know so I can buy up a few dozen first!!! Gilmour Spray Doc Sprayer Telescoping Sprayer Wand #R12CReviewsObviously four gallons of any fluid it going to be heavy so if you are not fairly strong you won't be able to fill it up and put it on your back. I use it out in the woods by myself so rest it on a truck bumper so I can wrestle the harness onto my shoulders. The equipment is well-built and durable. If there is a down-side to this product it is the harness. The instructions don't clearly point out how the harness should be fun through the little adjustment clips so the harness slipped a couple of times and the sprayer fell off my back a couple of times. Once I finally figured out that I had to run the strap back through the clips to create more tension it worked fine. It is easy to keep the pressure up and the adjustable brass nozzle is easy to adust for fine spray or long distance, easily 30 or 40 feet. THE SPRAYER DOES SPRAY. WITH THAT SAID....IF YOU HAVE A LARGE AREA TO SPRAY YOU MUST WALK CIRCLES TO BUILD PRESSURE TO SPRAY ENTIRE AREA. THERE IS NOT ANYWAY TO PUMP TO BUILD PRESSURE BUT TO WALK AND WALK AND WALK.IF SPRAYING A LARGE AREA THERE SHOULD BE SOME ALTERNATIVE WAY TO BUILD PRESSURE.I WAS DISSAPPOINTED. THE SPRAYER WILL SIT IN SHED, VERY SORRY I BOUGHT. I BOUGHT DUE TO JUST HAVING NECK SURGERY AND I AM NOT ABLE TO CARRY A HEAVY SPRAYER. It was only an $8.00 item and I may have screwed up by assumeing that it fit the sprayer it was advertised next to,its return would not offset postage. So I guess i'll cut it in two and see if some hose and clamps will transform it into somthing useful! Never again. I have a paver driveway which requires periodic spraying (approx twice a year) to get rid of the weeds and grass that sprout up between the cracks. I use a non-selective herbicide for this purpose, so I need to be very careful to avoid having any spray mist land on my grass (it doesn't take much to kill the grass accidently). This extendable sprayer does the trick nicely, as it allows me to put the spray tip very close to the survace of my driveway (without bending over), and avoid having any spray end up on the grass. This item is made of plastic, however, so it's not that durable. I had one break (exact same item) after being used about 5 or 6 times, so with my recently-purchased replacement, I will be sure to handle it gently. For the price, though, this item is a good buy, even without being very durable. I have a big driveway, and without this extandable wand to make bending over unnecessary, my back would be killing me. This wand allows me to stand up straight, and still have the tip of the wand be about an inch from the surface of the driveway. wish the end of the nozzle was a wider spray, since i am killing weeds in the yard,it works o.k. Part of Gilmour's Spray Doc line of sprayer accessories, this wand comes with an adjustable nozzle for fine misting to stream spraying. The wand expands from 16 to 30 inches with a series of adjustable valves, allowing you to spray weeds, trees, and hanging baskets that extend beyond your reach... |

Eye to the TelescopeReviewsThe whole album is OK, but I bought it because it has Black Horse on it. Tunstall has joined the long list of "performers" who have sold out to advertising. And for a bank, no less. The very institution that tries everything legal (but not ethical) to take your money. Want to hear Tunstall's music? Just listen to a Chase Manhatten commercial. Or better yet, rip a copy from a friend. Screw you Tunstall, you're a copout. a great CD. I have heard of KT Tunstall but never really had the want to get her album. I am a 1956 gal and what I grew up with is what I like and want. I heard about her with the black horse and a cherry tree. Did not understand that song, but it was catchy. Now that song has been out for how long and I finally am checking out KT. Within the past two months, I was going on Amazon to listen to music and she popped up. Well I listened to the samples and by golly, I liked the upbeat and bought it. This CD has been with me at work and my car and I have yet to get tired of it. As another reviewer wrote..hard to categorize, but upbeat, not loud, easy to sing to. This gal has broken my mold of music that I listened to in the past. Great seller. CD was in exact condition as described. No problems. Shipment was fast. Would definitely do business with again. I'm glad I took a chance and discovered that all modern music is not bad. I discovered this back when Black Horse and Cherry Tree was the single before Devil Wears Prada made Suddenly I see popular. If you like good music, then get this album I cannot stress this enough! If the art of the female singer-songwriter revolves around coffee-table soliloquies then Eye to the Telescope--the debut album from Edinburgh-born chanteuse/guitarist KT Tunstall--is a pleasing mediation between the traditional demands of brooding egocentricity (espresso) and frothy commerciality (cappuccino)... |

Workshop of the TelescopesReviewsWhen it comes to BOC, I'm not a fan of "Best Of" albums. But beginning with Agents of Fortune, I guess they had no choice but to release only their hits since exceptional thorough albums with no fillers were touch and go after their Black and White years. Disc One: They could have put the studio version of "Dominanace and Submission" on disk one, instead of the "live" version on disk two, and after a song from Fire of Unknown Origin?? The songs were pretty much going in chronilogical order up to that point. But cool. I actually prefer Steppenwolf's version of "Born to be Wild". While a concert favorite and I'm sure there are fans of this version by BOC, it could have been left off the disk and replaced with an original BOC song, lets say something off Tyranny and Mutation since there are already 6 songs from Secret Treaties. Disk two: I will admit these are probably the best songs from Agents of Fortune onward. While "Kick out the Jams" and "We gotta get out of this Place" are concert favorites and nice for "live" albums, this is a Best of BOC. I would have included "I Love the Night" from Spectres and "Monsters" from Cultosaurus with its rare jazz-fusion interlude. If you are new to the BOC experience, this CD is your best bet to get an inclusive grasp of the melodic and visionary world we call Blue Oyster Cult. BOC is Rock, part mythology, part heavy, part humorous, part intellect, part fantasy, part evil....all Cool. As far as greatest hits collections go, this one is good. The problem is, you lose a lot of the awesome blending and symphony like qualities of the original alblums which is really a shame. If you've never experienced BOC get the original alblums and treat yourself to some awesomeness. I always loved BOC's "Don't Fear the Reaper" and "Burnin' for You" and was looking for a decently priced CD that had both of these songs. When I found this 2 CD set that had BOTH of my favorites, I just had to have it! Better yet, I did NOT pay full price (I bought it Used)!! Some die hard BOC fans have panned the recording, but I'm not that particular -- digital clarity is nice, but not always essential for a recording to be worthy. I must admit, I do enjoy (and I'm more familiar with) the songs on Disc 2. And if it wasn't for this CD, I would not have recognized the song "Godzilla" that is now airing on a TV commercial for [...]! Guess I lead a sheltered life, huh? if you were never familiar with Oyster songs(other than the Reaper) and want to know just what they are this will certainly tell ya what they are! This collection will introduce you quite well to a great band of monstrously hard songs. The rytymn is very strait foreward but good listen'n! I would certainly take tips from the drummer and bass. But the revolutionary part is the gitar work(Bucks) and unlike most gitarists, he plays to play rather than to just motion for rock and show. very bazaar at times and very refreshing. the bass and drums play a part too and the reason I mention this is that most bands(today and recently) don't enfasise anything except what is commonly known in R&R(yes, pun IS quite intended here) and simply go through the motionas and no emphaiss on melody of backing instruments(Steve Howe's own quote is strongly supported in hopes of unimelody comeback, I know of no other terminologgy to discribe it so whateva! anyway a band is music of all supporting roles, not just the highlight gitar solos). that being said, the highlights are what take the cake on an already well-grounded band(no pun intended). if your music is gonna have brains, why not top it with a mein of red hair and a bod(is in a girlie-pie). that came out wrong didn't it but that is what all music is supposed to be. Why buy a compilation of of 70's and 80's music, no matter how good, when it has not been remastered? This is an excellent collection of songs, probably the best and most complete reflection of BOC's work, but it is not up to par in terms of sound quality. It is not a remaster and it should be. Buyer beware. I hold back a star for a five star compilation only because it is not a remaster. Check out some more current best of collections like "Don't Fear the Reaper" and you will hear the difference in sound quality, even though, once again, they are not the most complete collections. You might read a review somewhere online that states this is a remaster. It is not. Average Rating:![]() |

Eye to the TelescopeReviewsGreat CD! Great Songs! Great Singer! I would definitely purchase from this seller again. Love this CD! Couldn't find it anywhere in any store. It arrived in great shape and right on time. I bought this CD because of the recommendations of other customers. Luckily I was more than pleased to find a great collection of songs with an amazing sound and newness. If you are keen of finding new artists this is a good bet. You won't get dissapointed! I like the album, but I was disappointed when I recieved the cd. I ordered this album instead of purchasing it from a store because it had a live version of Black Horse & the Cherry Tree, but I didn't have the live version. I am usually pleased with the delivery service by ImportCDs, but not this time. Watching American Idle (yes I know it's mispelled) last year, I heard 'what's-her'name' sing a song that immediately caught my attention. It was 'Black Horse...'. Following that, the radio stations picked up on that karaoke version and began playing the real song by the real artist. Much better! I was wondering who the singer was. KT Tunstall became known almost overnight. Then the radio stations began playing other tracks from 'Eye to the Telescope' Eye to the Telescope (CD+DVD). They were great! The imported version of this CD also includes studio and live videos on an included DVD. Well worth the extra money. Hope she stays on the music scene for many years. One of the best newcomers I've heard in years. Average Rating:![]() |

Poolmaster Classic15' 3-Pc Telescopic Pole w/Hd GripReviewsI ordered this pole for my pool because it was the lowest in cost I could find. They tend to be expensive. When I received it in the mail, it was packaged in paper wrap. Paper wrap, really? The metal on it was all dinged and dented and looked terrible. I returned it, and amazon refunded me the pole cost, but not the $20.00 shipping I had to pay to send it back. All in all, I had nothing and paid $20.00 for it! It only "telescoped" for a few months before something in the inside won't grab the pole anymore. Poorly made. Average Rating:![]() |

400 Years of the TelescopeReviewsThis DVD is very well made. It is obviously targeted at a general audience. But the title is misleading. When I made the purchase on Amazon I was expecting to get a complete history of the telescope. To me that is what "400 Years of the Telescope" means. What we get instead is a bit of the beginnings of the telescope, like when Newton invented the reflector, and then we switch quickly to the modern instruments of today like Palomar. There is also a lot a time used to dwell on the grand projects of future telescope building. So it does cover 400 years, but there is nothing in between! So on that account I was disappointed and that is why I gave it only three stars. Actually, the way this documentary was put together was more to give us a brief history of astronomy than a history of the telescope itself. There would have been so much to say about Herschel, Fraunhofer, Huygens, Cassegrain, etc... But if you are interested in the history of the telescope, like I am, you can read Fred Watson and Henry C. King. This program needed to be a mini-series rather than a one hour program. There were too many historic and scientific facts crammed into too little time. As a result much of the excitement and passion of astronomy was left out. The bigger questions, such as "How did the Universe Begin?", "How will it end", and "Is there life in other places in the Universe" were quickly skimmed over or not discussed at all. If I wanted to inspire someone's interest in science and the Universe I think the PBS series "The Astronomers" would be a much better choice in spite of it being rather dated. Everything about this film is top notch, except at 60 minutes, I was left wanting more. Every one of the 60 minutes in the film is a gem, but it's so well done that you wish it could have been a 90 or 120 minute piece. Neil deGrasse Tyson is a fine narrator, and his enthusiasm for the topic is present without sneaking through. Dr. Tyson loves astronomy, and sometimes his excitement can overwhelm. Here, he is right on the mark. If you have even the most remote interest in astronomy or science, you'll enjoy this movie. You may also find yourself looking at telescope prices so that you can have the same experience as Galileo. (Quick bit of advice: if you do shop for telescopes, ignore claims of "power." What you really want is light-gathering ability, or the size of the lens. The bigger the scope, the more you'll get to see.) This offers something for multiple audiences. Of course, the chemistry- and physics-loving crowd will enjoy this. Howerver, we science haters can get something out of this too. The work speaks about how when new telescopes take images of outer space, they put them on the internet so that teens and artists can use them or be inspired by it. The work said that we can say destructive meteors 30 years before they reach the Earth, the implication being that we'll have the technology to destroy them. The work said that there are 300 Earth-like planets found, so maybe this will inspire or intrigue "Star Wars" and "Star Trek" fans. For people who hate history, this only briefly deals with that topic. It speaks of how great minds introduced the heliocentric model in contrast to the then-accepted geocentric one. For the visually-stimulated, watching the CGI graphics is pleasurable on its own terms. For history haters, this work does not dwell on the past. It presents space as a wild frontier of which we do not know much. For those interested in the future or pushing the envelope, that message will keep you watching. I recall reading in middle school history classes that neither maps nor globes do justice to the physical shape and look of Earth. This work points on how older telescopes made blurry images or had to keep getting longer. This works speaks of the inventors who corrected these problems. The work concludes with telescopes that will be as big as football fields that will record images that humans have never seen. Remember when Bart Simpson looked into a telescope and said, "Wow! The universe sure is boring." It's comical that "wow!" and "boring" are being used in the same sentence. Still, this documentary tries to interest those who care about space and those who don't give a toot. Even its discussion of how color-various photographs tells us more than black-and-white ones will keeps those fascinated how like rainbow-like images. I wish the work had more diverse interviewees. Still, the work is much stronger and more interesting than the title would suggest. Average Rating:![]() |
